UNSR Voule collaborates with the Inter-American Commission on Human Rights (IACHR) to expand protections of the rights to freedom of peaceful assembly and of association for people living in the Americas. This cooperation includes the exchange of information and knowledge sharing, when appropriate, and the issuance of joint public statements and press releases. UNSR Voule also participates in public thematic hearings convened by the IACHR and collaborates with thematic work undertaken by the Commission.

On May 8 of 2019, UNSR Voule joined a thematic hearing convened by the IACHR during its 172th period of sessions celebrated in Jamaica. The hearing brought together civil society actors from the Americas to discuss Implementation of Agenda 2030 in the context of the Inter-American System and the role of fundamental freedoms in that context.
