The President of the Republic Dina Boluarte on Monday held an audience with the United Nations Special Rapporteur on the Rights to Freedom of Peaceful Assembly and of Association, Clément Voule.
The meeting took place at the Government Palace in the Peruvian capital, Lima.
In a post on Twitter, Voule shared that today, May 8, marked the start of his official country visit to Peru.
“I’m looking forward to engaging with State and non-State actors to evaluate and discuss protection of the rights to peaceful assembly and of association. Thanks to authorities for extending this invitation at this crucial time,” he wrote.
